Electric Vehicle Chargers
We provide reliable and professional Level 1 and Level 2 electric car charger installation services for both residential and commercial properties. We make it easy for you to get your home EV charger installed with our comprehensive understanding of all building codes within our service area.
All of our electric car charging station installations are permitted and inspected by their respective jurisdictions. The process may include installing a dedicated circuit for EV charging, installing an EV charging station, upgrading an existing electrical panel, or adding a second electrical panel.
Level 1 Chargers
Level 1 Chargers:
- Provide the slowest rate of charging.
- Are compatible with home outlets and works for all models; could be portable.
- Provide 3-5 miles per 1 hour of charging.
- Require a dedicated circuit, usually 20A.
- Takes about 60-80 hours to fully charged.
- Typically will not require an Electrical Service Upgrade.
Level 2 Chargers
Level 2 Chargers:
- Use a dedicated circuit that is 208V to 240V and 30A to 100A.
- Provide 8-58 miles per 1 hour of charging, depending on the model.
- Take about 2-10 hours to fully charged.
- Require load calculation to determine if the existing Electrical Service is adequate.
- May require an Electrical Service Upgrade.
Electric Vehicle Rebates & Incentives
We specialize in installing residential and commercial EV Charging stations. We install Level 1 and Level 2 charging stations for electric vehicles in residential garages, carports, and commercial parking spaces. We also install secondary meters for charging stations enabling the owner to qualify for discount charging rates.
Charge Up New Jersey promotes clean vehicle adoption in the state by offering incentives of up to $4,000 for the purchase or lease of new, eligible zero-emission vehicles, including battery electric and plug-in hybrid electric. The shift away from gasoline and diesel creates many environmental and economic benefits, including less air pollution and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
PSE&G’s Clean Energy Future – Electric Vehicle (EV) Program received approval to invest $166 million to build out New Jersey’s EV charging infrastructure, which will have customer and societal benefits. PSE&G's program is designed to support EV chargers across Residential, Mixed-Use and Public DC Fast Charging.
